Erasmus

Information regarding the EU Erasmus Program at HAMU Praha: HAMU has been a part of the program since its introduction in 1997. The program name ERASMUS is taken from Erasmus Rotterdam, a rennaissance philosopher and thinker. As well the title is derived from the English version of the original program for EU countries EuRopean Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students. Since 1995 the Erasmus program has been a part of the EU education program SOCRATES, whose first phase was completed in 1999 and second in 2006. Initial Annual Institutional agreements were completed between the European Commission and some universities. (ex: Institutional Agreements on Individual programs such as ERASMUS in the academic year 2002/2003 were completed between AMU Praha and the European Commission as early as 2001) An institutional agreement was completed on the basis of the individual Faculties (HAMU, DAMU, FAMU). Those bases were bilateral agreements completed between the faculty and foreign schools. Bilateral agreements are completed when a particular program (number students or pedagogic exchange and/or their parts, participation in intensive programs and the like.) in the following academic year. Based on this concrete information financial support is acquired and the exchange and participations in individual projects are realized.
