We open the fourth edition of our composition and performance project. As before, we are keen to have composers and instrumentalists work together in the spirit of openness, inspiring both sides, with focus of the novelties emerging on the artistic horizon. The experience we have gained clearly shows that behind every piece there is a strong bond between the composer and the performer(s). To emphasise this relationship even further, we have made COOPERATION the lodestar of the coming edition of our project.
PLAYGROUND is no ordinary competition. It is a unique invitation to create unique quality together! In the three completed rounds of the project, we have built no fewer than 12 inspiring international relationships, which came to full fruition every September on the stages of two prestigious Polish festivals: the Sacrum Profanum in Kraków and the Warsaw Autumn. This time, we will again present the results of our activities/joint project/s in Kraków, and also abroad: in Estonia, Sweden, Czechia, and Spain from March to July.

In Prague we will propose lectures about project itself and polish scene of contemporary music and workshops of instrumental extended technics for composers and instrumentalists about execution, notation, application.

Project in cooperation with: Festival Musica (Strasbourg), Festival Afekt (Tallinn) and Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Festival Limina (Salzburg) and Mozarteum University Salzburg and Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm.
