GRAZ IN PRAGUE

V rámci oslav Roku české hudby se uskuteční projekt spolupráce studentských orchestrů dvou uměleckých univerzit – Akademie múzických umění v Praze (AMU) a Kunstuniversität v Grazu (KUG). V mezioborové spolupráci se setkají studenti a pedagogové kateder strunných nástrojů, dechových nástrojů a hudební produkce Hudební a taneční fakulty AMU (HAMU). Na straně rakouského partnera je zapojena rovněž katedra skladby a hudební teorie a katedra dirigování. Studenty metodicky vedou pedagogové HAMU a KUG, nastudování připravuje pedagožka KUG prof. Claire Levacher.
Od ledna připravují studenti z obou VŠ česko-rakouský symfonický program z děl W. A. Mozarta, A. Dvořáka a studenta skladby KUG Victora Morató Ribery, jehož kompozice bude premiérovaná právě na společném koncertu v Grazu.
Koncerty se uskuteční 29. dubna 2024 (Graz) a 30. dubna 2024 (Praha). Jde o první spolupráci tohoto druhu.
Projekt probíhá ve spolupráci s ČVUT, Českým centrem ve Vídni a Rakouským kulturním fórem v Praze.

As part of the celebrations of the Year of Czech Music, a project of cooperation between student orchestras of two art universities - the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (AMU) and Kunstuniversität Graz (KUG) - will take place. Students and teachers of the String Instruments, Wind Instruments and Music Production Departments of the Music and Dance Faculty of AMU (HAMU) will meet in an interdisciplinary cooperation. The Austrian partner also includes the Department of Composition and Music Theory and the Department of Conducting. The students are methodically guided by the teachers of HAMU and KUG, the staging is prepared by the teacher of KUG Prof. Claire Levacher.
Since January, students from both universities have been preparing a Czech-Austrian symphonic programme of works by W. A. Mozart, A. Dvořák and KUG composition student Victor Morató Ribera, whose composition will be premiered at the joint concert in Graz.
The concerts will take place on 29 April 2024 (Graz) and 30 April 2024 (Prague). This is the first collaboration of this kind.
The project is run in cooperation with the ČVUT, the Czech Centre in Vienna and the Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague.
