Only those students who have studied the given specialisation at the bachelor's level or whose study plans from another university with the given specialisation correspond may apply to study.

Entrance exam

The entrance examination consists of an interview on professional issues, the focus of the candidate's Master’s studies, and an abstract of the intended thesis. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the context of the field in dance pedagogy, knowledge of pedagogical methods of teaching classical ballet technique at a Bachelor degree level, orientation in educational systems, dance institutions and prominent personalities. The candidate will submit two pre-prepared exemple exercise combinations of classical ballet technique with methodological analysis. They also submit their Bachelor‘sthesis. The committee evaluates the candidate with a cumulative grade from 1 to 25 points, which includes an assessment of knowledge of classical ballet technique, pedagogical talent and interest in the field best documented by teaching experience, knowledge of music theory, an overview of dance and ballet history, their general cultural overview, and stage experience, all at least at the level of a graduate of the Bachelor's degree cycle.

Upon completion of the entrance examination, the Admissions Committee will rank the applicants according to the average of their scores and recommend for admission those applicants who have met the minimum score of 20 points.

If there are not enough candidates with high enough marks, the target number will be left unfilled

Foreign students applying for the tuition free study in Czech language need to provide a certificate of Czech language proficiency of B2 level or higher (in accordance with CEFR) from an acredited institution along with their application.
