There are three main fields of study that are taught on the Keyboard Instruments Department - piano, organ and harpsichord. Its foundation and past decades are adherent to great characters of these fields. Among the piano players these were professors Ilona Štěpánková-Kurzová, František Maxián, Josef Páleníček, František Rauch, Pavel Štěpán, Valentina Kameníková, Zdeněk Jílek, Jan Panenka, Josef Hála et al. Among the organ players above all Bedřich Antonín Wiedermann, Jiří Reinberger and Milan Šlechta. In the harpsichord field Zuzana Růžičková. They trained a great number of exceptionable graduates, who proved themselves on domestic and international concert stages and won prestigious awards in international competitions.
