Dr. Katelyn Bouska gave us a wonderful introduction lecture on partimenti, drawing from her experience as pianist, harpsichordist and long-term teaching position at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. By the end of the lecture, we even were able to try their hand at 18th-century harmonic improvisation at the piano. We are looking forward to a follow-up lecture in the fall.
