DEAN’S DECREE NO. 05/2026, REGARDING THE OPERATION OF HAMU DURING THE 2026 SUMMER VACATION
The Dean of the Faculty of Music and Dance at AMU hereby establishes the following operating hours for HAMU during the summer holidays from July 1, 2026, to August 31, 2026:
ARTICLE 1
ACCESSIBILITY AND OFFICE HOURS
• From July 6 to July 17, 2026, the Faculty of Music and Dance will be closed to all students and faculty members due to ongoing construction work. Normal operations will be restricted for HAMU administrative and technical staff; that is, the faculty will be accessible only in cases of absolute necessity, and it is recommended that staff take vacation during this period or work from home.
• the Liechtenstein Palace (LP) reception desk will be open 24 hours a day,
• the Hartig Palace (HP) reception desk will be open only on weekdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; keys can be borrowed and returned at the LP reception desk,
• From July 1 to July 5, 2026, and from July 18 to August 31, 2026:
• For all HAMU employees, the faculty premises located in LP will be accessible on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM; The faculty will be closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The closure is necessary due to repairs and a general cleaning of the premises,
• For all HAMU students, the faculty premises located in LP will be accessible on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM; the faculty will be closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays,
• For students of the Department of Dance and the Department of Nonverbal Theater, the relevant facilities will be accessible from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., including the use of dressing rooms (after which the dressing rooms must be vacated for cleaning); the faculty is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays;
• For students of the Department of Wind Instruments, the relevant facilities will be accessible on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; the faculty is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Student access to the faculty for practice purposes will be permitted only upon registering in the reservation system for specific classrooms and spaces within the relevant department, as designated by the head of that department for the summer break period. In the event that a specific classroom requires repairs or maintenance, which will be noted in the reservation system, the building manager will block that classroom in the reservation system for the necessary duration of the repairs and maintenance in advance.
Please adhere to the designated hours listed above.
• From Tuesday, July 1, 2026, to Sunday, August 31, 2026, the office hours for all administrative offices, except for the Student Affairs Office, are set for Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Inspirace Theater will be closed to the public from July 1 to August 30, 2026 (in July, technical maintenance and stage painting will take place; in August, it will be closed due to vacation time).
• The Study department will be closed from July 6 to July 17, 2026, due to the faculty closure, and from July 20 to July 31, 2026, due to regular vacation leave. From August 3 to August 28, 2026, office hours are set for Tuesday through Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. From August 24–27, the Study Department will be conducting registration for first-year students; we recommend visiting by prior appointment.
• Dean’s Office – the office will remain open; staff will be informed of any short-term closures. In the event of the Dean’s absence, a substitute will be available; information is available at the Dean’s Office.
• HAMU Library will be completely closed to the public from July 7 to July 17, 2026. The HAMU Library’s office hours from July 1 to July 3 and from July 20 to August 31, 2026, are daily from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Urgent loan requests or returns of sheet music and books can be arranged during the library’s opening hours by calling 234 244 113.
• HAMU Sound Studio will be closed from July 1 to August 31, 2026, due to equipment maintenance in the recording studio. The studio office hours from July 1 to August 31, 2026, are set for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
• HAMU Technical Administration – service is available via extensions 121, 115, or 116 and at the mobile numbers 777 888 603 (Ing. FINAL PROVISIONS
This decree takes effect on the date of its issuance and is effective from July 1, 2026, to August 31, 2026.
