Studying in Czech

Information for applicants in Czech language study programmes

If you are applying to study in a study programme accredited in Czech , you must present a proof of Czech language skill as part of your admissions. There are three options to do that:

Option 1

Your application must include a Czech language certificate (e.g. CCE – Czech Language Certificate Exam) issued by an accredited testing institution or Czech language certificate. The language level (CEFR) required is:

  • B2 for Music Theory, Music Production and Composition
  • B1 for all other study programmes

Option 2

If you have graduated from a higher education institution in the Czech Republic (a high school, university), you must attach a copy of the school leaving certificate in Czech / transcript of records to your application.

Option 3

If you have neither of the above, you must take a Czech language exam as part of your admissions to HAMU.
